Microsoft - Windows Embedded operating systems

A unique opportunity for companies and developers either using or that want to learn more about Microsoft Windows Embedded technologies, the Microsoft Windows Embedded Hands-On Lab and technical presentation will take place during the two-day show from May 18th – 19th at Birmingham’s NEC.

May 18th

10.30-13.30 – Microsoft Windows Embedded Hands-On Lab
Delivered by Windows Embedded Gold Partner, MPC Data Limited, this Hands-On Lab will enable NEW visitors to access relevant product and technical information while also allowing them to get to grips with the Windows Embedded Operating Systems through practical exercises.

The workshop provides an overview of two Windows Embedded Operating Systems – Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3 and newly launched Windows Embedded Standard 7, before offering delegates a deep dive, hands-on experience of using the Standard 7 tools to generate an operating system image, and guidance on how to build, customise and deploy images in an embedded scenario.

13.30 – 14.30: Microsoft Networking Lunch

The Microsoft Windows Embedded Business Group invites you to join them along with Windows Embedded Gold Partner, MPC Data Limited, to discuss your embedded projects and learn more about the Windows Embedded product family.

May 19th

10.30-12.30 – Microsoft Windows Embedded Live session
Delivered by Windows Embedded Gold Partner, Direct Insight Limited, this Windows Embedded Live session dives deep into the technical details of two Windows Embedded Operating Systems – Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3 and newly launched Windows Embedded Standard 7. Based around a live demonstration of the tools building a real platform, these workshops build up a complete picture, designed to allow delegates to evaluate the OS and tools from a technology perspective.

Featuring interactive question and answer sessions, the two hour lab is divided into two sections. The first hour will be devoted to demonstrating each solution. Delegates whose interest is limited to one Windows Embedded platform can book a place for the relevant hour-long segment. Each segment has its own interactive Q&A session. However any visitor wishing to find out about Windows Embedded technology is warmly invited to attend for the full two hour session.

Segment 1: 10.30 – 11.30 (1 hour session):
